This is the first post on a series I had the intent to start long time ago, which is why to work in Microsoft.

The first episode will be about why to work in Microsoft products, the next one will be about how funny the work in Microsoft is.

To make it clear, this post was about Working in MS, not using Windows, but let's answer your points:

1- Search:
Search was there in the start menu since the first windows version, it was a menu item and now it's a textbox!!!
And it was there in old windows with the same like now if you installed Windows Desktop search, so it's not new at all!!!

2- The calendar:
It was there since years, and it was there in office as well since years, and this interface is the sameone used in Office since many years!!!

3- The photos Organizer:
The interface was like this in Windows XP, the only addition is the shape which is ok now after the DX addition, and one more thing, does Mac OS X support the same feature in Vista Photos organizer exatly (I just see the interface in the video).

4- The chess game:
Since when the games are an OS feature?!
And for the chess game, does Mac invented the chess?!!
It's just adding all popular games in the free games section, and you know what?
Open the about section of the game:
"Chess Titans developed for Microsoft Corporation by Oberon Games", mmm interesting.

And again, I can guide you to some good web sites to learn English if you want!

It's so funny how Windows users get so provoked when this issue comes up. Sorry, just can't help it. And no, I don't understand English. Would you please teach me ?

Yes, but at least I can read and that's what I need for now.

Fruits easily?!
Do you think that you can just go out from the college and begin working and that's it?!

I don't think that even the smallest company in Egypt do this!

Yes, but not much

What about the people who attended private University and paid their way through it? :)

I don't believe you should feel indebted to your country just because they provide you with free education (which is not necessarily great or up to international standards (even private Universities in Egypt are not up to international standards))...

If you wish to go back to your country to help it improve that is fine...it is a personal choice...but I disagree that it should be a "debt"...

Unfortunately, sometimes in Egypt there are just too many obstacles in a person's way that forces them to go outside (e.g. Look at Zeweil who was denied a position at University in Egypt which forced him to go outside)...

Don't get me wrong, one day I will probably come back to help my country but unfortunately, I will only get the respect to do that once i travel bara and "get the experience" which is unfortunate. There are lot of smart, hard-working individuals in Egypt and I blame it on "3o2det el khawaga"..

And also, FYI, going outside and working is not a bad thing for Egypt, one of the number one foreign currency income for Egypt comes from foreigners abroad who bring back money or send money to their families...if everyone came back we would have an economic problem in Egypt (not to mention even more overcrowding :P)

Yeah, I usually hear stuff like:

"Come back and apply what you've learnt here in Egypt so you could help making it better"

And I'll only reply with a very simple and known case:

"Dr. Zeweil, one of the smartest scientists in the whole world, he got Nobel prize, when he came to Egypt to make some special science college, they refused, and the result he made it in Katar (if I remember the place well)"

Now this happened with Zeweil who got Nobel Prize, do you think if I came back my luck will be better than his?

Of course not, so the final result if I came back that I'll lose my good position and at the same time no one will benefit from this, got it?!

Each and every situation is unique. I am sure Dr. Zeweil helps Egypt in manners that he can (for example, he is on the AUC board of trustees, and he has an award there which he sponsors I believe)...

Sometimes as well it is important for Egyptians to go out in the world and achieve accomplishments that bring a good reputation for Egypt.

For example, Microsoft has been very happy with the quality of candidates coming from Egypt that they come time and time again to recruit from there. I think this is very good for us.
